NEJD upprepar sig

NEJD Magasin is a culture journal with yearly issues, and has been published since 2018 by the artists David Eng and Johan Andrén. For the exhibition NEJD Magasin NR4, NEJD repeats themselves, the editorial process has been translated into a spatial curatorial process. In the same way that the publication contains an eclectic mix of art, appropriated materials, poetry, comics, culture critique and satire, the exhibition is a jumble of mediums and expressions. Together with invited artists and under a given theme Eng and Andrén works with contrasting and harmonising objects and ideas that at a first glance are unrelated to each other, to create an abstract but coherent whole.

The main motif of this fourth issue of NEJD Magasin, in the shape of gesamtkunstverk with 8 involved artists, is repetitions, repetetive acts and collecting. This is expressed through sculpture, drawing, photography, video, sound works and performances, as well as found materials and ready mades.
